Negri Bossi SpA, a company of Sacmi group was founded after the war and with work experience of more than fifty years, is now the undisputed leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of injection moulding machines for thermoplastic materials, making use of a wide sales network and branches in England, France, Spain, Usa, Canada and in all the world.
The production of injection press moulding is the real core business of the group therefore Negri Bossi has decided to explore the international plastic demand in the last twenty years.
According to a research conducted by and for Negri Bossi Spa, between 1995 and 2000, around 91,500 injection moulding machines were manufactured in the Euromap area (Euromap is an Europe’ s Association for plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers and it covers all European manufacturing industries in this area).
From 2000 onwards we have a real bad time for the industry: production in the Euromap area collapses, leaving the global-market with few players and causing the disappearance of some of the world’s best known brands for production of Injection Moulding Machines.
The positive note is that research indicates that now the use of plastic is daily for all individuals and today nobody can do without it: demand for manufacturing plastics is rising constantly and the growth continues to involve all world regions (The 180-190 tons of plastic consumed in the last few years is forecast to grow to more than 280 tons in less than 10 years.).
